JH Windows Tints and Detailing - Terms and Conditions

1. General Terms & Services Welcome to JH Windows Tints and Detailing. By scheduling an appointment, accepting an estimate, or authorizing work on your vehicle, you (the customer) agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. All initial price estimates are subject to change based on the actual size, type, and physical condition of the vehicle upon thorough inspection before the service begins.

2. Legal Window Tint Disclaimer (Florida Law) Under Florida State Law, the legal Visible Light Transmission (VLT) limits for automotive window tint vary depending on the specific vehicle classification:

• All Vehicles (Windshield): Non-reflective tint is allowed only above the manufacturer's AS-1 line.

• All Vehicles (Front Side Windows): Must allow at least 28% of light in.

• Sedans & Coupes (Rear Side & Back Windows): Must allow at least 15% of light in.

• SUVs, Vans & Trucks (Rear Side & Back Windows): Must allow at least 6% of light in.

Any explicit request or directive by the customer to install window tint film that is darker than these legally permitted limits is done entirely at the customer's own risk, knowledge, and discretion. JH Windows Tints and Detailing assumes absolute zero liability for any traffic citations, law enforcement fines, vehicle inspection failures, legal disputes, or any other consequences resulting from the installation of non-compliant, illegal tint. By proceeding with the scheduled service, the customer signs off on and accepts full legal and financial responsibility.

3. Vehicle Condition & Pre-existing Damage As the owner and sole operator of JH Windows Tints and Detailing, I take the absolute utmost care when handling, preparing, and servicing your vehicle. However, I am not responsible or liable for any pre-existing or underlying vehicle damage. This includes, but is not limited to: surface scratches, paint chips, failing clear coats, peeling paint, brittle or damaged interior door panels, worn weather stripping, or faulty electrical window motors and switches. Customers are strictly required to remove all personal belongings and valuables from the vehicle prior to the start of the service.

4. Comprehensive Warranty Policy & Limitations Window tinting services include a manufacturer’s warranty that covers specific film defects, including bubbling, peeling, premature fading, or adhesive delamination.

Please note the following critical exceptions and guidelines regarding your warranty:

• Curing Period: The window tint film requires a standard curing and drying period of 3 to 5 days depending on weather conditions. Moving, rolling down, or cleaning the windows before this period is fully complete will void the warranty.

• Physical Damage Exclusions: This warranty strictly does not cover physical damage caused by external factors after installation, such as scratches or tears from seatbelts, rings, keys, jewelry, pets, or loading/unloading cargo.

• Improper Care: Damage resulting from the use of abrasive cleaning towels, sharp tools, or chemical cleaners containing ammonia will completely void the warranty. Only ammonia-free cleaners and microfiber cloths should be used.

• Environmental & Aftermarket Limitations: Window tint film is an aftermarket product applied to existing glass. While every effort is made to ensure a flawless installation, minor dust particles, tiny air points, or imperfections due to the vehicle's environment or glass texture may occasionally occur and do not constitute a defective installation.

5. Payments, Taxes, and Legal Compliance Payment is due in full immediately upon the completion of the service. In strict accordance with Florida state and local financial laws, applicable sales taxes will be added to the final invoice total for all services rendered. To maintain absolute legal compliance, taxes apply to all standard payment methods—including credit cards, debit cards, cash, and digital payments. Credit or debit card transactions may also be subject to standard merchant processing fees. JH Windows Tints and Detailing reserves the right to enforce a cancellation or rescheduling fee for any appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours' advanced notice.
